This dialog box let you change the rate of mutation in the model.

Mutation rate: This rate is for the moment constant in time and along the genome. If a mutation occurs, a new alleles is sampled randomly from the allelic pool.

Mutation rate per genome per generation:

the probability that no mutation at all occurs in an individual. One minus this probability represents the probability that at least one mutation occurs, however the risk for having more than one mutation in an individual is extremely small in the range of considered mutation rates (say [10-3, 10-7]).

Mutation rate per loci per generation:

the probability that an allele mutate at a locus. Several locus can have a mutation in an individual, the risk for having more than one mutation in an individual is extremely small in the range of considered mutation rates (say [10-3, 10-7]).

Alleles effects

The values of alleles for each traits are drawn in beta laws of shape parameters specified here. Defaults shape parameters are [0.65, 25.4] for every traits when the genome is made of 10 loci, which gives mean trait values in the population of 0.5; and [0.065, 25.4] for every traits when the genome is made of 100 loci.
